| Wayne J. Keeley is a triple threat : a noted media attorney, Emmy Award
winning producer, and a teacher and author.
|With respect to his education , Mr. Keeley has a Masters in Law with
a focus on Trade Regulation from New York University. He was a St.Thomas
More Scholar and Law Review Member at St.John's School of Law. He
graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Fordham College.
|Keeley is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the
United States , the United States Court of Appeals for the Second
Circuit , the United States Federal Courts for the Southern and Eastern
Districts of New York and all New York state courts.
| As a litigator, transactional and corporate attorney, he has
had a diverse legal career. He was associated with the
law firm of Wilson , Elser , Mosokowitz , Elderman and Dicker where
he litigated a variety of civil matters on both the trial and appellate
levels. He also served as corporate counsel to such media companies
as The Wiz , Arrow Entertainment and Elsevier Science, Inc. Keeley
was also a media consultant on various projects for such entities
as the Drug Enforcement Administration of the United States Justice
Department , The New York State Despartment of Health , The New York
State Department of Education and the State University of New York
|As a media attorney, Keeley has had direct involvement in raising
money from film ventures including the creation of LP's and LLC's.
He has also distributed and marketed films on both the domestic and
international levels. Keeley has negotiated sales of films to HBO,
Showtime , The Sundance Channel , Encore , Direct TV , DARO distributors
, GAGA Communications , Baker and Taylor , Ingram and many more.
|Keeley has had extensive experience as a contract attorney developing
, creating and negotiating a variety of contracts including media
contracts of all kinds , talent and music licensing , project proposals
and many more. He also has a specialty in copyright law and intellectual
property in general.
|Keeley is presently an Adjunct Associate Professor at
Audrey Cohen College where he teaches the Film Indusry in the MBA
Media Management program. Keeley has also taught film and business
on both the undergraduate and graduate levels at Baruch College ,
Fordham University and Bronx Community College.
